Black Male Youth Conference 2023

On November 8, 2023 at the Alpha Memphis Education Foundation Facility, the Go To High School Go To College Committee of Alpha Delta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated put on a conference with the theme being, "The Black Male; Is it Too Late?" Topics that were presented through speakers dealt with Community Policing, TN Achieves/Promise Scholarship, Tips to be Successful as a Black Male today, and Financial Literacy 101. We had around 100 High school males representing Raleigh Egypt High, Trezevant High, City University, Fairley High, and Power Center Academy High. All sessions ended with Q and A. as well as in the end a survey they had to fill out for feedback as well as gift card giveaways. News Channel 5 came and will run the story on Sunday. Overall the event was a great success and the students and chaperones were elated that they were invited.
